“Steel Magnolias”

Concerned with a group of gossipy southern ladies in a small-town beauty parlor, the play
is alternately hilarious and touching—and, in the end, deeply revealing of the strength and
purposefulness which underlies the antic banter of its characters.  Although the action centers
on Truvy's beauty parlour and some women who regularly gather there the overall theme is about
the bond among a group of southern women in northwest Louisiana.  There are six female roles of various ages.

“Steel Magnolias” will be presented on November 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 19
and 20th of 2010 at the newly renovated Eagle Theatre.

Auditions will be held Monday, August 16th at 7pm and
Wednesday, August 18th at 7 PM at The Eagle Theatre. 

Those wishing to audition will be asked to read from “Steel Magnolias”
so no additional material is required.
